ABC 7 First Forecast Weather Survey

I joined the ABC7 weather team because of the terrific commitment of this locally owned communication company to the Washington area and for the opportunity and challenge to create the best new digital weather site on the Web.  We’ve all heard of the “new media” and the explosion of information on the Internet.  But for the best, most accurate weather information and forecasts to help you make the best decision, local people and local meteorologists who you know and trust still matter.

What I think will be fun is we’re going to build this new site and new tools and new apps together.  That’s why I need your help in the weeks and months ahead to give me and our team the feedback to create this completely new hyper local digital weather service that you want.  It won’t be what we or some consultant thinks you want, it will be what you want.  You will help us, we’re going work on this project together.

About once a week we’ll have a new question for you to help us answer.  What does “Mostly Sunny” mean for you?  What symbol for a rainy day is most useful for you?  What apps do you really want and use on your smart phone?  There are plenty of pieces and questions to answer to build the best weather site possible.  So off we go.  If you have specific comments or suggested questions, I’d love to hear them.  Write me at bryan@wjla.com

Let’s see what we build together in the coming months.
